Reworked version. Don't know if this is any better.

This doesn't look too... well anyway, I guess it's painted too thin and it lacks depth not real impasto or brush strokes. I should work on it tomorrow and get some more paint on it.
Way better - I can see the light source...and the great shadow! Warm colors on the closer hill in the distance and cooler tones way far away. Great! It isn't snowing here...they say the "Midwest" and I used to consider this the Midwest, but I think it is more the Plains.
