Cup cake challenge

8x10 oil on wood

Here's my take on the current challenge. I thought that spritzing paint on for the sprinkles, but i don't think it came out so well. I put on a think impasto layer for the frosting, then carved into it with colored brush work.

Very nice job on this Mark. I have to say , I was drawn to the "spackle look" of the sprinkles. I think it works really well.

I actually like the way you have painted the sprinkles - makes it unique! Must say though that the frosting looks positively scrumptious. I am struggling with my frosting...wish me luck! Beautiful work.

These are looking very yummy! I like the colorful shadow work you did - and the sprinkles -
