Just pulled the apple out of the shadows. It wasn't easy to get the light pattern to look right with the lumps of the apple on the right side.

Final victorian house
16x20 oil on canvas
I added the oil stains to the street. I really wanted to use vigorous brush work on the house but I'm not sure just how William Wray would do it.

challenge victorian house
16x20 oil on canvas
This is the current challenge. I thought that I would put in a street going past St. Peter and Paul church and ending at Coil tower. I wanted to make it foggy but then got lost. The house photo was with out strong contrast so I couldn't place the sun. I could see the finish of the painting in my head, but it didn't come out that way. That might have been because i didn't use a photo ref for the rest of the photo. I might just rework it

Challenge jefferson mon
18x24 oil on canvans
I was thinking this is the final take for the challenge. That top of the painting should be really blue but I didn't want to tweak it too much in Photoshop to try and make it right.

Elm fork and birds
4x6 oil on canvas panel
I got this feeling for the the river down the road. I made it foggy, or tried to anyway. There were all these Cormorants in the trees. Thousands of them, crapping on every thing too. They also made this monkey hoot sound
Cormorants in the trees and farther in the background for about a mile on the far side of the river. They are hugh but there isn't a scale to tell by in the photo.

Gull on rock
8x6 oil on canvas panel
He was eyeballing me. It's tough for me to get that little 2 inch bird painted well. His eye smooshed out hugh, i used a tiny bursh but it wasn't done close to what i wanted. I guess there's no reason not to paint several editions until i can get the paint flowing, and colorful. This is down at Seawall where i can't believe there is a single periwinkle left from every kid picking up one to take home far away.
