I wore myself out trying to get this one to come around. I tried to work the form some more, but didn't quite get it.

Two tone man
12x16 oil
Some one suggested that I should try two tones Blue and Burnt sienna. One for the warm side and one for the cool side. I didn't pull that off. I stopped at the 2 hour mark.

Saturday's group block-in Mr. Hardesty
12x16 oil
Here's my block-in 2hrs. with the Livestream group. You can click on the video to see where Jon got. Some folks watch Jon paint, then paint afterwards. I painted while he painted but didn't follow him in any way really. In a few years i should come around to better results, right?

Copy of Winslow Homer's "Breezing up"
16x20 oil
I thought that I would copy a Winslow Homer painting for this week. It's not easy. Those old timers are using a different technique that I did. Think they used glazing. Me, just the brush. I used Prussian blue, but he might have used phthalocyan blue. My version is still cooler that just a poster print.

12x16 oil
Jon Hardesty had a paint along while he painted this portrait on line . It's a 2 hr. pose.

Some folks watched him paint, then plan to paint their version later from a photo ref.
