spoon cup apple
6x6 oil on hardboard I painted over yesterday's craptactular painting. I think this came out well. I could have made the whites more pure and lighter but it came out well for me.

NYSE
20x16 oil on canvas This is this weeks challenge on Karin Juricks blog. This was tough. I wanted to spot light on the guy in black at the floor center. I got too tired after two hours and it took me 3. I think I should have been more selective, and it wouldn't have look ...... I'll see what other people did and give it a good think.

Imposter
6x6 oil on masonite click photo That's the pepper in with the bananas. I put the light close to the subject to bleach out a little bit. I used the #6 bristle for the whole painting and the #2 in a few spots. It looks like it needs stronger values. I didn't want to over do it. I need to work with a little medium to thin the paint and make it flow some what. Maybe.

Bean challenge
12x16 oil on hardboard My contribution to the Different strokes challenge. I didn't put in the seams in the metal cause i'd just muck it up more. This took me about 2.5 hours.

Tomato on a miniCan
6x6 oil on masonite I liked this little can.
We had lobster the last night before returning from Maine. Even Higgins and Zippy enjoyed some legs.

Mom's tomato and vase
Had to paint this funny shaped tomato and her cool greenish vase. The tomato is about 3 inchs long, a dinky one.

Lemon and Radishes
6x8 oil on canvas panel The lemon is the focal and the radishes with the green leaves were supposed to be accents however, I didn't have anything else to use that was smaller. A stuffed olive would have been just right but I eat those too fast. There is a little reflection and I didn't want to over do it.

Apple and pot
6x8 oil on canvas panel Really under the weather on this one. That's supposed to be a flower pot on it's side.
This is down the road for my folks home. If you drive around Mt. Desert Island you'll pass right by here, about a mile from Acadia workshop center.
