Lone Lemon

I was frustrated with trying to render the bump on the end of the lemon that was protruding into the shadow side of lemon.  This carried over into the next two paintings also.

Brush strokes not standing out enough. The right side had the reflection  of the light source and the left had mostly local color.

The lemon is the focal and the radishes with the green leaves were supposed to be accents however, I didn't have anything else to use that was smaller. A stuffed olive would have been just right but I eat those too fast. There is a little reflection and I didn't want to over do it.

Little glare on photo. The left one doesn't have such a strong blue. Did I get impressionistic? No, it's the photo.

Still trying to get those strokes right. Used the #8 brush again. But it's width seemed smaller than Carols on rounded fruits. Tomorrow #10 or the mega #12

I used a #8 size brush on this one.  Doesn't look all that good though.  Must be rushing too much.

This is ...well..poor.  :(     I think I shouldn't use those taklon brushes on cavas. Bristle seems better.

Two kinds of oranges. Not sure you can tell that the tall one has a slice out of it. The photo is off a little cause the whole orange isn't pink at the turn.
