Nice job! Really good values and fresh not overworked brushstrokes. It is hard to stop. I have a hard time and have to say out loud "put the brush down, I'm just going to screw things up from this point on". heh heh BTW- Is that pthalo blue in the shadow? if you want to kill some of its chroma mix it with Alizarin (and maybe a bit of yellow). It gets dark but white will bring it back up to the right value (and also dull the color)
Hey Jeff, that's cobalt violet and ultra m blue. It was photographed in the shade and then not really corrected well before loading on line. Don't know how Aaron L. gets those cool glassy looking objest in his paintings.
